Why is my Anker charger's display in Chinese?

You bought an Anker charger with a display, it arrived, and the screen is in Chinese. Nothing is broken and it is not a fake. You have a China-region unit, and in Pakistan that is the version most shops actually stock.

What is different

The display language, and that is essentially it. The status text on the screen renders in Chinese. There is no menu, no settings, and no way to switch it, because the charger has no interface beyond that screen.

The wattage figure itself is a number. It reads the same in any language.

What is not different

  • The output. A 45W China-region unit delivers 45W, exactly like the global one.
  • The internals. Same GaN semiconductors, same power-delivery profiles, same protections.
  • The build. Same shell, same folding plug, same weight.
  • Safety. Same design and same protection circuitry.

Why it costs less

Import route. China-region stock reaches Pakistan through a shorter, cheaper supply chain than globally-distributed stock. That difference is the price difference — not a difference in the product.

The part worth actually checking

Ask about the plug, not the language. Some regional units ship with flat two-pin US-style prongs rather than the round pins Pakistani sockets expect. That is a genuine daily annoyance; a Chinese-language display is not.

How to tell a region variant from a fake

A region variant is genuine Anker made for another market. A fake is not Anker at all. Check the model number printed on the shell against Anker's own listing — ours is A121D. Fakes typically have no model number, a misprinted one, or one that does not exist.

Because you would find out anyway, on the day it arrives. A shop that hides it is betting you will not send it back over a language setting. We would rather you order knowing exactly what is coming.
